Push the story missions early
At the start, the story missions for Ken, Colonel Cortez, Ricardo Diaz and the others are your only real income. They pay well enough to fund your first property purchases, so drive the story forward before grinding anything else.
Buy your first asset
Once properties unlock, buy an asset with a green house icon — these come with their own short mission strands. The Malibu Club and Print Works are tied to the main story; cheaper ones like the Cherry Popper ice-cream factory and Kaufman Cabs are quick to set up.
After you finish a property's missions it becomes a generating asset — a cash stack appears at its door, refilling up to a cap you collect by walking over it.
Pro tip: Income stops building once it hits the property's cap, so do a collection lap of your assets regularly.
Complete the Sunshine Autos import lists
Buy Sunshine Autos on the western island and you unlock four vehicle import lists. Deliver every car on a list to the showroom garage and you earn a large lump sum — plus the finished showroom becomes one of your best daily earners.
Pro tip: Cars on the list spawn more often in their home districts — learn where each model drives and the lists go quickly.
Run side missions for steady cash
Vigilante, Taxi, Paramedic, Firefighter and Pizza Boy missions all pay out in rising amounts the longer your streak lasts. They also hand out useful bonuses like extra armor and health for completing enough levels.
Rob stores when you pass them
Stand in a shop and hold aim at the clerk to make them empty the till — the longer you hold, the more they pay. It is small money and it raises your wanted level, so treat it as pocket change while you drive between bigger jobs.
