About Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas launched in October 2004 on the PlayStation 2 and quickly became one of the best-selling and most-loved games of its generation. It follows Carl "CJ" Johnson, who returns home to the gang-ridden streets of Los Santos after his mother's murder and is dragged back into a world of corrupt cops, family loyalty and turf wars.
What set San Andreas apart was its sheer scale. Instead of one city, players roamed an entire state — Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas, plus the deserts, forests and countryside in between. CJ could work out, get a haircut, recruit a gang, fly planes, swim, ride bikes and reshape the map one territory at a time, years before open-world games made that the norm.
GTA Cache pulls everything worth knowing about San Andreas into one place. Whether you're after a specific cheat code, hunting down all 100 graffiti tags, maxing out CJ's stats or setting up the PC version with mods, you'll find clear, hand-checked pages here — written by people who actually play the game.
