What This Cheat Does
The Fast Swim cheat allows players to swim much faster than normal, making traversing water bodies a breeze.
This is especially useful during missions that require swimming or when escaping from pursuers in the ocean or rivers.
How to Enter the Cheat
On PC
Type the code GOTGILLS during normal gameplay, or open the in-game phone and dial the number.
On Console
While walking around — not paused — press the button combo quickly and in order. A sound confirms the hit.
By Cell Phone
Bring up your character’s phone, open the keypad, enter 1-999-468-445-57 and press call.
Good to Know
Keep in mind that this cheat only affects swimming speed, not diving depth.
Heads up: GTA 5 cheats only work in Story Mode — never in GTA Online. Entering any cheat disables Achievements / Trophies until you reload a save, and cheat effects don’t persist, so you may need to re-enter the code again later.
