What This Cheat Does
The Lower Wanted Level cheat allows players to instantly reduce their wanted level by one star, making it easier to escape from law enforcement without a lengthy chase.
This cheat is particularly useful when you find yourself overwhelmed by police after a heist or during a chaotic free roam session. Simply activate it to lower your notoriety and enjoy a little peace.
How to Enter the Cheat
On PC
Type the code LAWYERUP during normal gameplay, or open the in-game phone and dial the number.
On Console
While walking around — not paused — press the button combo quickly and in order. A sound confirms the hit.
By Cell Phone
Bring up your character’s phone, open the keypad, enter 1-999-529-937-87 and press call.
Good to Know
Use this cheat wisely; it only lowers the level by one star each time.
Heads up: GTA 5 cheats only work in Story Mode — never in GTA Online. Entering any cheat disables Achievements / Trophies until you reload a save, and cheat effects don’t persist, so you may need to re-enter the code again later.
