What Are Hidden Packages?
Hidden Packages are GTA Vice City's main collectible hunt. There are 100 of them — small, glowing wrapped parcels tucked away across both islands — and finding them all is one of the biggest steps toward 100% completion.
Better still, the hunt pays you back as you go. Every 10 packages you collect unlocks a free weapon or vehicle that spawns at your hideout, so you are rewarded long before you reach the full set.

Where to Find Them
Packages are spread across every district of both islands. Clear one neighbourhood at a time:
Ocean Beach & Washington Beach
The southern beachfront — check alleys, hotel courtyards, rooftops and the sand near the boardwalk.
Vice Point & Leaf Links
Resort hotels, the North Point Mall area and the golf course greens hide several packages.
Starfish Island & Prawn Island
The wealthy mansions and the film-studio island — look around walls, pools and the docks.
Downtown Vice City
High-rise rooftops, car parks and back alleys — many packages here sit up high or out of sight.
Little Haiti & Little Havana
Industrial yards, shopfronts and gang turf on the mainland — sweep the side streets carefully.
Viceport & the Airport
The docks, warehouses and Escobar International — check between cargo and along the waterline.
Keep the map open. Packages glow and rotate, but many are on rooftops, underwater or behind buildings — tick each one off as you grab it so you never recount.
How to Collect a Package
Collecting a package is simple — the tricky part is reaching it.
Walk into it
Each package floats and spins. Just touch it and the on-screen counter ticks up by one.
Reach the high ones
Many sit on rooftops or ledges — use stairs, helicopters or stacked vehicles to climb up to them.
Search the water
Some packages are underwater or under piers. Swim or take a boat and look just below the surface.
Watch the counter
The game tracks all 100 for you, and a message pops up each time you hit a 10-package milestone.
Collecting Tips
- Do a district at a time with the map open — random sweeps make it easy to miss a few.
- Many packages are on rooftops; a helicopter makes the high ones far quicker to reach.
- Collect packages early — the weapon rewards make the rest of the game much easier.
- Underwater packages are easy to swim past — slow down near piers and bridges.
- Rewards first appear at the Ocean View Hotel, then move to the Vercetti Estate once you own it.
What You Get
Free weapons and vehicles at your hideouts
Every 10 packages unlocks a reward at your hideout — building up through body armor, a chainsaw, a Python, a flamethrower, a sniper rifle, a minigun and a rocket launcher. At 80 and 90 packages a Sea Sparrow and a Rhino tank appear at the Vercetti Estate. Collecting all 100 also ticks a major box toward full 100% completion.
